There has since been an amendment to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, with a new revision expected in the coming months, so you might consider what continuing professional development would be needed to ensure your knowledge remains current.
For internal audits, the topics covered in your training would be a solid foundation, and experience in auditing will strengthen your skills.
Third-party auditors (those who undertake Certification audits of management systems) must do so through a Management System Certification Body, and they will specify the training and experience their auditors require.
