Nominated Trainer Update for Certified Training Providers

Exemplar Global is committed to supporting our Certified Training Providers in delivering consistent, high‑quality learning experiences. As part of that commitment, we have reimagined the purpose of our Trainer Certification approach to better align with - and more effectively support - our RTP and TPECS Training Provider programs.

To strengthen this alignment, we have transitioned from the previous Trainer Personnel Certification to a Nominated Trainer model. This new approach extends the value of your Exemplar Global Training Provider certification to your training team at no additional cost, ensures trainers receive role‑specific communication directly from Exemplar Global, and helps them confidently represent our programs to your learners.

As part of the Certified Training Provider Programs (RTP or TPECS), each organization is now required to maintain at least one nominated trainer at all times. This ensures continuity, quality, and a reliable point of contact for important program updates.

    Why We Made This Change

We moved to a nominated trainer model to:

    • Strengthen alignment with the RTP and TPECS schemes.
    • Extend the value of your certification to your training team at no additional cost.
    • Ensure trainers receive timely, role‑specific updates so they can confidently answer student questions about Exemplar Global and our processes.
    • Simplify trainer management and reduce administrative back‑and‑forth.
    • Maintain clear quality expectations and a consistent learner experience across our network.

    What Stays the Same

    • Your nominated trainer will be recognized as an Exemplar Global Nominated Trainer, which your organization can promote to prospective students.
    • Nominated Trainers receive a digital badge housed in the Exemplar Global Community, allowing them to showcase their professional status within our network.

    What's Changing

    • Included at no additional cost: Nominating and maintaining a trainer is now included as part of your RTP or TPECS participation. This ensures all providers can meet the requirement without added fees.
    • Compliance: If your primary nominated trainer leaves or is no longer actively delivering training, you must nominate a replacement to maintain compliance.
    • Requirements: The nominated trainer must:
      • Meet your organization's qualification, skills, and competency standards.
      • Be formally nominated by your organization.
      • Actively deliver courses and engage with students.
      • Represent Exemplar Global accurately, attend updates as required, and stay engaged with the Training Provider Community.
      • Share relevant Exemplar Global communications with other trainers in your organization.

    Portal Update

Beginning January 16, you'll be able to add and manage nominated trainers directly through the Training Provider Portal. This update reduces administrative back‑and‑forth and makes it easier to stay compliant and up to date.

    FAQs

    1) Where can my trainers find their digital badge?

Your trainers will receive their digital badge directly in the Exemplar Global Community. After you nominate a trainer in your portal, they'll automatically receive an email from Exemplar Global inviting them to join the community and claim their badge.

    2) Why are you moving from the Credly badge to the Community badge?

To keep trainer recognition current, consistent, and easy to verify, we are centralizing badges within the Exemplar Global Community - a space trainers and providers already use. This ensures real‑time updates, consistent branding, and no need for a separate badging platform.

    3) What happens to existing Credly badges?

Existing Credly badges will expire on the trainer's annual renewal date listed on their Credly badge. Once expired, the badge will not be reissued. Trainers will receive a Community-hosted badge that reflects their current Nominated Trainer status, along with guidance on how to find and share it.

    4) Where can trainers find their certificate?

Trainers can access a certificate confirming their Nominated Trainer status under "My Details" in their Exemplar Global Community profile. To find "My Details," please navigate to "Access Certifications" on your community home page.

    5) Will you provide instructions for uploading/managing trainers?

Yes. We're publishing knowledge articles with screenshots and step‑by‑step directions to help:

    • Nominate a trainer
    • Update trainer details
    • Deactivate Trainers
    • Find and share the Community badge and trainer certificate

    6) Is there a cost for nominating and maintaining a trainer?

No. Nomination and maintenance are now included as part of your Certified Training Provider participation.

    7) Can we nominate more than one trainer?

Yes. You must maintain at least one Nominated Trainer at all times, but there is no maximum. You may nominate your entire training team, including contractors.

    8) What if our Nominated Trainer leaves or isn't actively delivering training?

You're required to nominate a replacement. If you need to remove a trainer, you can deactivate them directly within your Training Provider Portal.

    9) Do trainers still undergo an Exemplar Global evaluation?

No. Under the Nominated Trainer model, your organization is responsible for verifying qualifications and competency. Exemplar Global provides recognition (badge, certificate) and ongoing program guidance.

    10) What happened to the previous Trainer Personnel Certification?

The former Trainer Personnel Certification has been formally retired. We reimagined the purpose of trainer recognition to better support the RTP and TPECS programs, and the Nominated Trainer model now provides a more aligned, streamlined, and cost‑effective approach. Under this updated model, organizations verify trainer qualifications internally, while Exemplar Global provides recognition, communication, and program support through the Community badge and certificate.

We understand that changes to established processes can raise questions, and we're here to make this transition as smooth as possible. The Nominated Trainer model is designed to simplify your workflow, enhance communication, and ensure your trainers have the tools they need to succeed. Our team is ready to support you every step of the way.
