Hi Gina! As a marketer, I love this question. It always sparks learning and great conversations among subject matter experts. I'm eager to hear what others have to say, though I've been enjoying conversations started by the Auditor Online and Quincy AI, ASQ's chatbot assistant.

Quincy has a tip for those in the EMC/EMD space: the ASQE Insights on Excellence (IoE) research suite is a go-to resource to explore, packed with benchmarking studies and annual reports that show how organizations are navigating digital transformation, adopting new technologies, and building resilient, quality-driven cultures. For anyone working with ESD/EMC certifications and standards, these insights are especially valuable for keeping up with regulatory changes and the latest in tech.

If you’re curious, here’s the page with the latest ASQE research, benchmarking reports, and thought leadership: https://asq.org/quality-resources/research/asqe-insights-on-excellence/asqe-research

I’m also keeping an eye on the new Manufacturing & Automation eXchange (MAX) event, which was recently highlighted by the Auditor. MAX stands out for bringing together multiple manufacturing disciplines and reflecting how modern factories operate as interconnected systems. It’s designed to bridge the IT and OT gap, with a focus on systems thinking, automation, and real-time data. It could be a highly relevant setting for engineering and tech professionals in EMC/EMD.

For more about the MAX event and its cross-functional approach, check out our coverage here: https://www.theauditoronline.com/new-event-max/

I’d love to know more about how iNARTE members are looking to raise the bar for quality and innovation with their organizations in 2026.

Hi Richard, this is such a useful list! I've seen In Compliance a lot in the context of EMC and electronics safety. I also follow Gartner for their cross‑functional takes on enterprise tech and the IT/OT bridge that many systems pros deal with. Your TIC sources help round out that picture.

I'm curious, when it comes to testing and inspection bodies, what helps you tell when an update is truly forward‑looking or relevant? I'd love to learn how practitioners filter for what matters.

Hello Ben, thank you for your kind words and question.

On one hand Safety, EMC requirements are very product-centric, therefore each compliance engineer need to focus on their responsible product scope e.g. ICT equipment, multimedia apparatus, household appliances, lightings, automotive, electrical accessories (socket outlets, plugs) and etc. when checking through the TIC websites. Once having this in mind, readers will able to extract relevant information accordingly.

Meanwhile there are also common information such as FCC Regulations and EU Directives with regards to radiocommunication, in which as long as the product consist of wireless feature it will be generally in-scope, thus readers will need to pay attention to these common requirements as well.

In short, every compliance engineer shall maintain a list of applicable regulations applicable to their own product in-charge e.g. safety, EMC, telecom, radiocomm, hazardous substances, packaging material, batteries to ensure a comprehensive watchlist coverage.
