Thank you James for taking the time to speak with me for discussing potential pathways for me to enter this field. I truly appreciate your insights and guidance.

I bring extensive experience in engineering and quality management, having worked closely with auditors and suppliers. I have also completed Lead Auditor training with AIAG through Plexus and hold Supplier Auditor Certification.

As per the updated IATF requirements, obtaining an ADP number now requires sponsorship from a Certification Body (CB). I would like to kindly request your support in sponsoring me for this program. Your sponsorship would enable me to register in the ADP system and progress toward full qualification.

For your reference, the current process includes:

1. Sponsorship by a Certification Body (CB)
• To begin the IATF auditor qualification process, a CB must sponsor the candidate by submitting their application to IATF Oversight or an authorized training organization.
• I am willing to cover any related sponsorship costs and can volunteer as a witness auditor on my own time and expense.
2. Registration in the ADP System
• Once sponsored, the CB or training organization registers the candidate in the ADP system using their email.
• The candidate then receives instructions from ADP to complete registration, access training modules, and quizzes, and pay the associated fees.

I would sincerely appreciate all assistance in sponsoring me for this program and guiding me through the next steps.

Dildar, the part that trips most people up is that CB sponsorship is not really a favour, it is a hiring decision. A certification body sponsors an ADP candidate because it intends to use that person on automotive jobs, so the sponsorship conversation is really a conversation about their auditor capacity in your region and sector. Asking the scheme manager or automotive operations manager at a few bodies whether they are short of auditors where you are will travel a lot further than a general request, and your offer to travel and to start with witnessed work at your own cost is the strongest card you hold.

Randy, the same logic answers your question. Most people who get through this get onto a certification body panel doing quality system work first, and the automotive sponsorship follows once that body already knows how they report and how they reason. The order matters more than the paperwork.
