  • 1.  ISO Lead Auditor Certification obtained, what next?

Hi all, I've recently obtained lead auditor certification for ISO 9001, how would you suggest I go about securing a role as an internal auditor at an organisation?

For context, I have 15 plus years of experience as a GRC professional in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries where the closest I've got to audit had been supporting my colleagues from a compliance perspective both during and after the audit.

    Looking forward to your suggestions!

Congrats on your Lead Auditor certification! With your GRC background, you already bring strong value-focus on positioning yourself as a bridge between compliance and auditing.

Stay engaged, share insights, and the right opportunities will follow.

Are you wanting to perform the role as an employee or contractor/consultant?

If as an employee, its applying for vacancies, or offering to start as an intern.

If as a contractor/consultant, consider demonstrating value for free. offer to internally audit a single process (ideally in a multi process chain) and provide a report showing your value. Negotiate a deal from there. Dont engage in undercutting or devaluing your work.

Expect lots of silence when it comes to responses. Dont get discouraged. It's a numbers game. The more you ask, the more work you will get.
