    Hello Sophon!

I had a quick look on the ISO Standards website, and found this Standard, which appears to cover your question.  I am not familiar with this standard, perhaps others in the community can provide insights? l  ISO 22483:2020 - Tourism and related services - Hotels - Service requirements

22483 is essential, 21620 is particularly for heritage hotel. 22001 is important if food is provided and/or processed in the hotel.

Up to the entertainment and service the hotel provides, there will be other related standards applicable, such as beauty salon, spa, sea side entertainment, MICE else.

Some other standards related to accommodation quality may be considered too, such as customer service, water quality, sound pressure level else.

    Hi Sophon,

I have worked in these industries as an auditor and consultant (ie tourism, hotels), and may be able to point you in the right direction. Firstly, can I ask what angle or specific interests are you looking for when you travel (ie sustainability, ecotourism, nature based, marine/coastal, culture, conservation, indigenous led). If you can please provide some further context, I could point you to some standards/certifications. Also, where are you based?

    :)
