Hi community,
Following my last post, I want to be understood on the comparison of auditing and policing. What I meant, is , we are not enforcing rules, preventing and responding wrongdoing as the police officer does. In the industries my organization does a lot of inspections, we are perceived as the sheriff himself focusing on immediate threats. No. Thousand times no.
Auditing is strengthening internal and external stakeholders. We evaluate compliance, accuracy, performance of processes/records, and provide assurance and recommendation.
Yet, imagine a young guy of 25 years old auditor, ask top management, who is found to be a person of 83 years old: What objective evidence shows me your commitment in making decisions that demonstrate the effectiveness of the management systems?
How will you ask differently this question, community?
