Even now I still like to watch giant robots. GoBots never seem to get as much love as some of the other properties.
I had a habit of taking apart old radios as a child, mainly AM pocket (transistor) radios. Then some exposure to early personal computers (Sinclair, TRS80, etc). Eventually I had the opportunity to start 'learning electronics' and it's been a ride through various fields of communications and electronics ever since.

Back in 1980s my family was not wealthy but I was fortunate enough to own some Lego, M.A.S.K., Gobots, Transformers sets to play with. All these toys do influenced and shaped me to be an engineer with no regrets. And thanks to my engineering career I have sufficient income in return to be an adult Transformers figures collector, collected almost 550 figures and still counting!

Leonardo da Vinci is often considered one of the first engineers.
His sketches and designs for machines, bridges, and even flying devices showcase his engineering inventiveness.
Makes me wonder when you first knew you wanted to be an engineer. Did you start in childhood with Legos, Erector sets or walkie-talkies? Or did you have a teacher or professor that reached out to you by seeing your potential?
